This is a really rough demo. I wrote this song in response to a challenge – follow a link that brings you to a random place on Google Maps, then write a song about it. I was dropped on a country road in Lithuania or Latvia. 60 minutes to write and record the song.

Written and recorded in 60 minutes as part of a FAWM skirmish. Little spit and elbow grease, this song wouldn’t be half bad.
Woman I Can Trust
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
I have a wonderful wife.
You know she is dependable
She’ll never be on time
She’ll do just what she says she will
If it don’t slip her mind
But I know that I can trust her
With all that matters most
And I’m glad my tender heart is in her hands
I’m headed off to work again
My cloths a wrinkled mess
“At least I got them washed”
She says, in her old wrinkled dress
But never have to wonder
If the kids get what they need
And I’m glad my tender heart is in her hands
Chorus
I know that her heart is as big as a mountain
Her love is deeper than the sea
And I want nothing more than to stay here beside her
And she wants to stay here with me
Well I’ll never make a fortune
Hell, I hardly make a dime
I’d give her what she wanted
But all I’ve got is time
But she never asks for nothing
At least, nothin she don’t need
And I’m glad my tender heart is in her hands
